You may wonder how I got here. Simply put, I was once You. My Aunt, the beautiful woman who raised me, was diagnosed with Dementia. At the time, we (the family) didn’t realize how bad it was. Once we were up to speed with her health and able to get her out of her property, we went in and realized several things. One, she was borderline a hoarder. Her house was full of … well, her life …. her 70 something years on this earth. Two, she was behind on all of her bills, from the utilities to the mortgage. Three, the house was in severe disrepair. We couldn’t even fathom how she could have possibly still have lived there all this time. We spent the first couple months of Pre-Foreclosure trying to “save” her house.
